Jules Mercer was born and raised in the UK, but has made the Bay Area her home since she was a teenager.  Jules moved to the U.S. with just a backpack and has raised her two now-grown sons here. 

Jules opened Destination Art, an after school art school in the North Beach area of San Francisco in 2007 and closed it in 2019 when she moved to Tam Valley.  Jules then opened a vintage clothing, furniture, and clothing store shortly after moving, then in 2020 she found her dream location in Tam Junktion and moved her vintage store here.  

Located at the intersection of Shoreline Hwy. and Almonte Blvd., Jules has turned this 6,000 square feet reatil space into a community hub:  Vintage Ruse is the part retail, and The Mercery is the sewing and creative part.  The space is also a community gathering space that can  host events of any type. 

Tam Junktion hosts sewing & craft classes, birthday parties, community & corporate events, team building, baby showers, live music, self-help groups, movie screenings, open mic nights, trivia nights and much more.
